New Agency

We have decided to go with a new agency all together. Our new agency is God's Waiting Children. We mailed out some necessary documents Friday and it will probably be about 2 weeks before we will know anything official on the adoption to report. As for now, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

We also keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Having travelled to Kazakhstan and seeing the faces of waiting children, we pray for renewed hope and the strength of God to accompany your family on your adoption journey. Each International Adoption is truly a miracle and we look forward with anticipation as YOUR miracle unfolds.

I continue to pray for your family and all those left hanging by AIP.

Are you going to have to do most of the paperwork all over again? I certainly hope not. I also hope and pray that thing go very quickly for you.

Hi Michelle,

My husband and I were also AIP clients waiting to adopt from Kazakhstan. I'm not sure when you stopped communicating with AIP, but did you know that Kevin has been hired by Heritage? He is going to personally oversee the Kaz adoptions. Heritage has drawn up a modified contract for AIP clients. We were also in the process of looking for another agency but feel very comfortable with this new arrangement. I have talked to the the directors at Heritage and they seem great. You may have all this info already. Heritage is only following up with AIP families who have taken the initiative to contact them so it may be worth getting in touch. We feel a renewed sense of hope for our adoption.

God bless you.

I had that "modified contract" reviewed by an attorney. I suggest anyone considering a move to Heritage or any other agency do the same. You might be surprised what an attorney thinks. It's basic smarts to have an attorney review a contract of this length before committing to those terms.

The legal language of a contract is much more important than an agency's reputation or the vibe some PAP feels. Oral representations made by a caseworker aren't the same as black and white contract terms.
